Kathleen was raised in Elmhurst, Queens and moved to Ulster County during her teenage years. In high school, she became interested in the nursing profession and attended Orange/ Ulster BOCES, completing an LPN program. After graduation, she returned to Queens and enrolled in an Operating Room Technician training program at Bellevue Hospital. She then attended Russell Sage College and graduated from Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in 1996. Over the past twenty five plus years, Kathleen has worked as a nurse within a wide range of health care settings: acute hospital, long term care, sub-acute rehabilitation, home care, schools, and as an emergency medical technician. Additionally, she has had the opportunity to stay home with her two sons and experience first hand the wonder of parenthood. She has a deep appreciation for alternative education and sincerely looks forward to caring for the children at the Hudson Valley Sudbury School, in a setting that supports them as they really are.
